On February 4, 2017, members from the Friends of Jr. Space Camp participated in "Spring Charity Barefoot Walk for Children", a charity event organized by World Vision Hong Kong to raise fund for nutritional and hygiene programs in South Sudan. In the event, the participants, without shoes, walked on a 4km path at the Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club, to learn the difficulty of under-privileged children in developing countries who need to travel a long way on barefoot for education.
